The grand opening of the new comprehensive school, Perry Beeches IV, in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter honed in a handful of local celebrities.
Perry Beeches IV, tagline The Free School, is the fourth secondary school, from the family of Birmingham-based schools.
The opening took place earlier today, at 10am on Albion Street. The likes of comedian Jasper Carrot, footballer Cyrille Reis, writer Benjamin Zephaniah and chef Rustie Lee, are believed to be amongst local radio and television personalities there to celebrate the opening of the new school.
The school’s doors are now open to serve the Jewellery Quarter, Ladywood, Handsworth and Lozells areas of Birmingham. The current established Perry Beeches schools have all achieved an Outstanding status.
