A new gin bar has opened up in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter as of Friday 11th December.

The specialist gin and tonic bar has opened its doors at 40 St Paul’s and is being run by a couple of recognisable faces from the nightlife scene in Birmingham.

Rob Wood and Amanjot Singh Johal (Aman) will be running the bar, bringing along with them their recognised reputations.

Aman made his mark on the map by working as the bar manager at The Church on Great Hampton Street and honed in his incredible niche of concoting cocktails!

He made this statement: “Birmingham’s food scene has really put the city on te map and we should be aiming for exactly the same thing with our bars.

I want to make a bar with little points of difference that make it really stand out. We’re going to have full table service, with the kind of treatment you’d expect in Michelin-star restaurants but with the focus on the drinks rather than food.

Rob holds experience working at The Edgbaston and The Keniworth.

We wish you both the best of luck!
