Not too long ago our community raised over £8,000 in support of Macmillan, 20 of the Quarter’s businesses did their bit by taking part in the annual coffee morning!

With plenty of cake and coffee, everyone had a smile on their face for such a fantastic cause, and visitors were welcomed to enjoy the delicacies (of cupcakes and coffee!) alongside the businesses.
Everything raised was donated to Macmillan Cancer Support and the total amount was a pleasant surprise.

The hosted event was a very green event, with green Macmillan balloons and posters, each beckoning people inside to part with their money in exchange for home-made treats.
York Laurent, Arkade Property and Pomegranate were just some of the Quarter’s businesses who took part, serving up treats of their own to visitors.

The local Beeches schools had their own way of taking part by hosting their own bake off! A complete competition with live music and raffles and The Big Peg invited guests into its reception for more fun with a tombola and raffles!
