Visit the IGers: Best of Birmingham exhibition
Earlier this year, IGers Birmingham teamed up with the Birmingham Museums Trust to organise a photography competition in which winners of this competition, would be featured in an exhibition at The Museum of The Jewellery Quarter.
Birmingham locals have sent in over 1200 entries via Instagram for a chance to be featured in this exhibition. And now, the winning entries are available to view for free at the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter! The exhibition is open from 10.30am to 5pm and is running until the 29th January. It’s free, so make sure you go visit!
Photos on show at the exhibition are available to purchase. For more information about this exhibition click here
The Museum of the Jewellery quarter is located on Vyse Street and built around a jewellery workshop, which has been preserved to offer a real insight into working life around Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
IGersBirmigham was originally formulated by Nettie Edwards and David Rann to develop a community for Instagram photographers within the second city and promote the city itself. It is now being run by Fraser McGee, Beth Astington and Martin O’callaghan. Most noteworthy, as they are 3 passionate photographers planning to continuously develop the movement and strengthen the Birmingham Instagram photographers community even more.
This is a must-see for those that are into photography, want to see a different view of Birmingham or for those that fancy a free bit of culture. It’s good to see that the IGers Birmingham are being appreciated in this way!
