Another month flies by, 31 days, lots of hours and even more Tweets, here are the most popular social media posts in the BJQ…..
That time of year
I’m sure everyone will agree, this year is going very quickly!
Therefore it’s not surprising that seasonal highlights feature prominently on social media from orange highlighted streets to well-trimmed plots of green (even if the grey skies are more frequent).
Here are some of the more aesthetically pleasing posts we enjoyed.
Law & Order
It’s not the most exciting but it’s surprising how much people engage with those interested in the area and paid to look after it.
Jewellery Quarter residents tend to show these guys a lot of love, must be the high community spirit.
Beer
It goes without saying, beer is a big crowd puller, whether it’s on the high street or online.
With the many exciting, and well looked after establishments, its not hard to see why the ales selection is just the icing on a beer cake.
Events
A host of events kept the jewellery quarter lively and as fun as usual, with live music at The Lord Clifden, and a surplus of booze at The Button Factories “Bottomless Bingo”.
Halloween
Spooky I know, but the JQ went all Gothic, Pumpkins and skeletons everywhere!
New
As if we didn’t have enough places to go for great food and drink, we have even more!
Michelin star chef Ben tesh, mostly known for opening a pop-up fine dining restaurant over last summer in Urban Coffee, opens his own restaurant on Caroline Street, just next to St Pauls Square.
Over on Frederick Street, 1000 Trades, an independent bar and kitchen, offers a wide selection of drink and food with the new guest food residents this month, Pietanics, know for their regular appearances at The Digbeth Dining Club
Awards
I feel like all we ever do is talk about booze, but hey, we can’t forget our very own ‘Gin list of the year’ winner!
