BID have brought back the Lifestyle event, in result from its major success in 2013, with the promise of it being bigger and better!

The event is set to take place this week, on Wednesday 15th October in the Brasserie Suite at the University College Birmingham (UCB) on Summer Row, from 18:00 to 20:00.

Invited are a select few of retailers and designers across the Quarter, and they will be talking about, and demonstrating, that it is unnecessary to shop central to get your fill of jewellery, gifts, art or vintage clothing.

The event was initially organised to present the Jewellery Quarter as a not just a place to buy a wedding or engagement ring, but it’s also a historic shopping and leisure haven.
BID manager, Luke, said: “The Quarter has so much more to offer. It’s a quirky place with an abundance of bespoke and designer jewellery, giftware, ceramics, furniture and vintage clothing, even a connoisseur whisky merchant; and that’s just brushing the surface.

There is so much on offer which people just don’t realise is available, we want to change that. We want people to take advantage of the hairdressers, beauticians and leisure facilities; to have a drink in one of the many local bars, or lunch at a restaurant, to make it less of a visit and more of a proper day out.

The spaces are limited, and for booking and attending information, you can RSVP jilly@barques.co.uk.

Guests and exhibitors will be greeted at the UCB with wine and canapés alike, the enjoy such an iconic event.

What do you think of the Lifestyle event? The Quarter definitely has a lot to offer!
