Crown Jules has been based in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter for the last 16 years and it is a family run business.
Our aim is to offer a wide range of jewellery and watches from traditional to contemporary, all finished to the highest standard.
Julian Hodgkins the founder of Crown Jules started his journey washing cars at the tender age of 10. He started to wash a gentleman’s car called Robert Davies who unbeknown to Julian owned a very well known jewellers called “Main Chain” located in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. Robert soon got to see Julian was a hard working, driven trust worthy lad; he offered Julian a Saturday job at Main Chain. Julian worked in the shop on Saturdays and in the school holidays until he left school at 16, when Robert offered him a full time job.
After a few years of working full time in Main Chain with Robert and his brother Brian teaching Julian everything there is to know about the jewellery trade, Julian decided it was time to go at it alone. He started off selling jewellery out of a rucksack to friends and family; then it went on to friends of friends. Through hard work and dedication Julian opened his own jewellery shop Crown Jules in 1999.
