Birmingham Jazz Presents: Charlie Pyne Quartet

Charlie Pyne, a London-based double bass player, serves as the solid backbone for some of contemporary jazz’s most exciting talents.
Since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2009, specialising in jazz double bass, she has built a career on her solid groove, classic playing style, and infectious cheerfulness.
Charlie performs regularly with her own band, the Charlie Pyne Quartet, adding her unique big-band-inspired twists to jazz standards and pop classics. Her passion for music shines through in every note she plays!
