The meet will set off from Saint Kitchen Café in St Paul’s Square and will take in a variety of key Jewellery Quarter landmarks, including the Birmingham Assay Office, Vyse Street and the Pen Museum. The theme for the walk will be revealed on the day and there will be IGersbirmingham merchandise available for the three best shots.

Fraser McGee, who runs the IGersbirmingham group, said: “For our Instameets this year we want to give people the opportunity to explore a little wider than just the city centre, and the Jewellery Quarter seemed like a fascinating place to start. This meet will be a great chance to take your time exploring a part of Birmingham and a brilliant opportunity to meet members of our thriving local Instagram community. It’s open to everyone, so please come and join us!”

The Instameet will run from 11am-1pm on Saturday 14 March. Members of the IGersbirmingham group will be in the Saint Kitchen Café in St Paul’s Square from 10.30am, with the walk itself starting just after 11am. The hashtag for the meet for either participants or people watching from afar is #igb_meet_jq. For more information, follow @igersbirmingham on Instagram.
