Newman Brothers Coffin Works is held an exhibition to die for as a part of a programme that showcased National ‘Museums and Night’.

The art exhibition took place on Saturday 16th May at Coffin Works. The exhibit involved a collection of artwork that was named Game Over, taking inspiration from the factory and the history behind it – the making of coffin furniture for over one century, as a part of the programme.

The event was put together by Transient-Art, a small group of artists based in the West Midlands, whose strive to engage with the public using creative methods in odd places.

Not only was the exhibition taking places, but the courtyard held a live fashion show that showcased the designs of fine art and fashion students from Birmingham Metropolitan College.

Occurring only twice a year, Museums at Night, drawing in flocks of people to galleries, heritage sites and museums by open their doors wide and having this play host to after hours events.
